NTT Group has formulated and implemented a "Solution Environment Label" system to facilitate our customers' understanding of our global environmental contribution efforts via the introduction of ICT services. This system certifies those ICT solutions offered by the respective NTT Group companies that have reduced CO2 emission by more than 15% as environment-friendly solutions, which are identified by a "solution environment label." As at the end of FY2019, NTT West Group has granted a total of 10 "solution environment labels."
Recently, there is growing emphasis on SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals), ESG (Environment, Social and Governance) investment, disaster response and efforts to tackle plastics and other environmental problems. NTT Group consumes 1% of the total power used by the entire country, but we will make use of ICT to promote the "solution environment label" as a social contribution initiative to address the remaining 99% of power consumption.
