Cloud-based UTM helps to consolidate the networks of clients at multiples offices and sites to the data center for security measures to be implemented at a low cost and to achieve efficient operation. By installing a UTM device at the respective sites, it is possible to consolidate the individual Internet connections to the cloud-based UTM, thereby allowing the same security settings for the on-premises environment to be applied on the cloud. Meanwhile, unifying the security settings and management for each site on the cloud-based UTM also helps to ensure efficient operation. This service significantly reduces the number of ICT equipment to be installed, thus contributing to CO₂ reduction. Results have shown that introduction of Cloud-based UTM has helped to lower CO₂ emissions by 42% yearly compared to conventional means.
