Certificate Issuance Service Certificate Issuance Service

"Certificate Issuance Service" is a service for current university students and graduates which allows certificates to be issued by and obtained from convenience stores instead of having them issued by the issuing machines or the relevant office in the school campus.
This service does not require an application or a server for storing it, and it can be utilized when needed as long as there is Internet access.

Users who are affiliated to universities that have subscribed to and introduced the "Certificate Issuance Service" (current students, graduates, etc.) can apply online for issuance of the necessary certificates, which can then be issued and obtained from the multi-function copiers installed at a nearby convenience store.
Not only so, it is also a revolutionary service that allows online arrangement for certificates to be delivered by post.

By using the "Certificate Issuance Service," it is possible to cut down on CO2 that is emitted for travelling to and from the school in order to obtain the certificate. Also, it helps to reduce the workload of the staff issuing the certificates at the university, which in turn lowers CO2 emission that arises from human labor.

With the introduction of the "Certificate Issuance Service," it is possible to reduce CO2 emission by 7.4t-CO2/year (34%) compared to the conventional means.

For the "Certificate Issuance Service" offered by NTT West, different service menus are provided to local government bodies, companies, medical institutions, educational institutions and other organizations according to the characteristics of the industry and region.

In the past, current university students or graduates who wished to obtain certificates from the university needed to have them issued from a special machine installed in the school campus or submit an application to receive them by post.
With the introduction of this service, it is possible for them to issue the certificates any time of the day or year at a nearby convenience store.
For current students who need the certificates for their job search or graduates who are busy with their work, this service allows them to utilize their time efficiently and also serves as an effective means of support by the university to their students.

At the same time, it is also well received as an effective means of work-style reform as it helps to reduce the volume of issuing work by university staff since most of the certificates are issued outside the school.
Favorable feedback was also received from the users. Some responses include "I could get the certificates issued immediately even when I am in need of them while I am on a trip back to my hometown" and "the issuing fee is negligible considering the amount of money that could be saved for travelling to and back from the university."
University staff members are also pleased with the service. Some comments given include "this service helps to convey the voices of delight from the users" and "with the issuing work made more efficient, it is now possible to allocate time more effectively to duties that cannot be handled by machines, such as support related to student life."
In future, we will offer proposals to help resolve issues from our customers' viewpoint so that this service can be made use of by a greater number of universities and for "certificates are issued at convenience stores" to become the industry's standard.

Yet another advantage offered by this service is that it has been developed as a user-oriented service that takes our customers' voices into consideration. It is equipped with a feature that connects graduates with their universities, and we plan to develop the service further into something similar to a portal site that offers "services to its graduates," which is a future issue to be addressed by the universities.
