On May 27, 2017 (Saturday), a clear day, the "2017 NTT West Clean Environment Mission in Mineyama" was held at Mineyama Park in Takamatsu City.

The "Clean Environment Mission" is an activity that is participated jointly by NTT Group companies located in Takamatsu City. This year marks the 26th anniversary of this activity and the 21st year since it was first held at Mineyama Park.
A total of about 300 participants took part in the event, including employees and family members of NTT Group and partner companies, as well as members of the NTT OB association and Public Telephone Communication (P Com).

The activity was covered by Setonaikai Broadcasting, Nishinippon Broadcasting (Radio), Kagawa Keizai Report and Shikoku Shimbun, which allowed this activity to be known widely to the public.

The Iwaseo Sankai burial mounds, a national historic spot, are also located in the surrounding area of Mineyama Park, which is why playground equipment in the motif of burial mounds is installed inside the park. Besides facilities for children, there are also fitness equipment and athletic courses for adults that make the park one that caters to diverse age groups.

Work was performed mainly to remove the weeds around the lawn, which transformed Mineyama Park into a clean and beautiful place. We believe the goal of the Clean Environment Mission, which is "to help hand down the beautiful nature to future generations," was achieved while contributions were also made to the local community.

To encourage participation by families with children, a "balloon art" event has been incorporated as with last year into the activity this year. In the survey that was conducted at the end of the activity, every child who experienced the event responded that it was very enjoyable.
We will come up with new ideas for participants to enjoy in our activity next year.

NTT West Kagawa Group will continue to engage actively in efforts to protect the local environment such as through the monthly "Sawayaka (Refreshed) Road" cleaning activity, as well as the "4th Forest Cultivation Activity" (project endorsed by the 41st National Tree Care Festival) as part of the "Midori Ippai Project" that is scheduled on November 11 (Saturday).
