To fulfill its responsibility as a company that consumes a large amount of electric power derived from fossil fuel, NTT West Group is focusing on efforts that helps to lighten the environmental load.
One of the endeavors is the introduction of eco cars such as hydrogen fuel cell and electric vehicles. These are zero-emission vehicles that do not emit CO2, a factor that contributes to global warming.
In 2016, Tokai Company introduced "MIRAI" from Toyota Motor.

MIRAI does not emit CO2 when it is in use, but discharges only water when hydrogen combines with oxygen. It is a zero-emission vehicle that can be used without polluting the air.
Not only so, by replenishing fuel at a hydrogen fuel station, it can travel about 650km on a single fill-up, a distance that is equivalent to that of gasoline-fueled vehicles.

MIRAI vehicles that were introduced are used for the following purposes:

  • (1) Sales activities that involve top-level sales
  • (2) During participation in social action programs as part of the CSR activities
  • (3) During participation in disaster drills by local government bodies, and exhibitions or test-driving events as a symbol car as part of the facility-related activities
  • (4) When conveying the corporate image as part of the publicity activities
  • (5) During events at Tokai Company branches
  • (6) During mission company events within the Company

etc.
