Midori Ippai Project Activities LINE 1842016 NTT West Clean Environment Mission in Mineyama May 14, 2016 NTT West Kagawa Group
On May 14 (Saturday), a clear day, NTT West Kagawa Group held the "2016 NTT West Clean Environment Mission in Mineyama" at Mineyama Park.
The "Clean Environment Mission" this year is part of the social action program that is participated jointly by NTT Group companies located in Takamatsu City, and is an activity to commemorate the 25th anniversary since the launch of the environmental conservation activities (20th anniversary for activities held at Mineyama Park). A total of about 330 participants, which was a record high, turned up on the day of the event. They include employees and family members of NTT Group and partner companies, as well as members of the NTT OB association and Public Telephone Communication (P Com).
The main task of this round of cleaning activity was to gather fallen leaves in the park and remove the weeds around the lawn.
Fallen leaves are combustible garbage if they are not put to use, but they can be collected for use as compost to supply nutrients to crops and plants. This activity has helped to maintain Mineyama Park in good condition, as well as to achieve the goal of the mission, which is "to contribute to handing down the beautiful nature to future generations."
To encourage participation by families with children, a "balloon art" event has been incorporated into the activity this year. In the survey that was conducted at the end of the activity, everyone who responded commented that the balloon art event was very enjoyable. We will come up with new ideas for participants to enjoy at the activity next year.
NTT West Kagawa Group will continue to engage actively in efforts to protect the global environment and contribute to the local communities such as through the monthly "Sawayaka (Refreshed) Road" cleaning activity around the roads and the Midori Ippai Project that is scheduled in November.
