Midori Ippai Project Activities LINE 164Forest Maintenance Volunteer Activity at "Akiyoshidai Kazoku Ryoko Mura (Akiyoshidai Family Trip Village)" May 28, 2016 NTT West Yamaguchi Group
On May 28, 2016 (Saturday), a total of 33 employees, family members and former employees of NTT West Yamaguchi Group took part in a volunteer activity to maintain the forest at "Akiyoshidai Kazoku Ryoko Mura (Akiyoshidai Family Trip Village)."
Located inside the Akiyoshidai Quasi-National Park, "Akiyoshidai Kazoku Ryoko Mura" is a carefully protected area that is constantly calling for the protection of nature on a wide scale.
This is the seventh round of the volunteer activity to maintain the forest, which helps to protect the vast and beautiful nature in this quasi-national park.
On the day of the event, participants engaged in the work under the support and guidance of members from "Akiyoshidai Kazoku Ryoko Mura" and Yamaguchi Prefecture Mine Agriculture and Forestry Office.
All the participants united their effort on this drizzling day to engage in thinning at areas that were overcrowded with trees due to afforestation or as the trees grew bigger, as well as works that were necessary to enhance the efficiency of forest management.
The duration of the activity was short, but thanks to the hard work of the participants, the "NTT Midori no Mori (Green Forest)," which was filled with densely-grown grass and plants, transformed beyond recognition into a beautiful area.
