Midori Ippai Project Activities LINE 315Participation in the "Hiroshima Forest Development Forum" Activity November 17, 2018 NTT West Hiroshima Group
On November 17, 2018 (Saturday), about 70 employees and family members of NTT West Hiroshima Group took part in the "Hiroshima Forest Development Forum" organized by Hiroshima Prefecture Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Bureau.
Blessed with fine weather on the day of the event, participants attended the opening ceremony, followed by engaging in the paving and tree thinning works at the "NTT Midori no Mori (Green Forest)" after putting on helmets and wearing a saw at the waist.
For paving work, participants built a safe pavement that eases walking by carrying heavy logs up the slope and pounding the logs to make them into stairs after leveling out the slope surface.
Work was performed on an unstable slope, but nonetheless the task was accomplished smoothly in about an hour without any injury.
Meanwhile, the tree thinning work brightened the slightly dark forest and transformed it into a beautiful environment that allows the trees to thrive further.
The activity ended with a photo shoot for all the participants.
NTT West Hiroshima Group will continue to engage in activities to protect the environment.
