DIAL Q2 Service
Call the DIAL Q2 hotline for DIAL Q2 inquiries.

9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday (closed holidays and New Year's holidays)
DIAL Q2 is NTT West's proxy fee collection service. NTT West collects information charges on behalf of information providers for their programs (fee-based services). DIAL Q2 numbers begin with the prefix 0990.
Charges
DIAL Q2 charges consist of NTT West dialing charges and information charges set by information providers.
The information provider is the creditor for information charges. You can suspend collection of information charges in cases such as when someone other than the subscriber makes DIAL Q2 calls without permission. Contact NTT West Information at 0120-064337 (toll-free) if you wish for us to take action to suspend collection.
Information Services Menu
DIAL Q2 provides you with easy access to a variety of information. Those fee-based programs include prerecorded news, economic information and music, map information by fax, online information services and e-mail services.
NTT West separates programs provided into Password Genre and Open Genre so you can use DIAL Q2 without extra worries.
Call NTT West Information at 0120-064337 (toll-free) to apply for a password if you wish to access Password Genre programs.
Open Genre does not require a password, but we recommend that you use a password to prevent unauthorized use by persons other than the subscriber.
DIAL Q2 cannot be used from public telephones.

Subscribers are required to pay universal service charges of \5.25/month (tax included) for each telephone number.
Using Password Genre
Application in writing by telephone line subscribers who are 18 years of age or older is required to use Password Genre.
No charges apply to acquire a password.
(Installation charges apply to cancel password use.)
How to apply for a password
Request a password application form from one of the following.
Dial 0120-064337 and request an application form.
Download from the DIAL Q2 site at http://www.ntt-west.co.jp/denwa/service/dialq2/gaiyou.html.
How to return filled-in form
Post: Call 0120-064337 and ask for return address before sending.
* If the subscriber for the analog line etc. is a company, an original Certificate of Registered Seal Impression is required. Therefore, companies cannot apply by fax.
* A copy of your Japanese driver's license, passport, Japanese health insurance certificate or other documents that verify your name and age are required at application. Please send the documents with your application form.
Measures For Worry-Free Use
• You can request to block access to DIAL Q2.

(The subscriber must make the application to bock access.)

• Subscribers can apply to suspend collection of information charges.
NTT West bills information charges incurred by subscribers on behalf of information providers. However, we can suspend billing of information charges in cases such as when someone other than the subscriber makes DIAL Q2 calls without permission. Contact NTT West before paying the bill or by the business day before the funds transfer date for automatic bank account payment if you wish for us to suspend collection.

• We will inform you of excessive charges before billing.
If the total of information charges and dialing charges is three times or more that of the previous month due to DIAL Q2 usage and is ¥30,000 (¥31,500 tax included) or more, NTT West will inform you of excessive charges by telephone or in writing before billing.
