NTT West does not automatically retain details of subscribers'calls. However, NTT West can be requested to retain and provide subscribers with records of call dates, times, duration and numbers called. (This service is not available for certain telephone numbers.) NTT West takes special precautions when providing calling records to subscribers due to the confidential nature of this information. Record of the Called Party's Phone Number Subscribers can choose one of the following ways to have the called party's phone number recorded. 1. Record of called party's complete telephone number 06-xxxx-xxxx 2. Record of called party's telephone number deleting the last four digits 06-xxxx-**** 3. No record • The type of detailed billing record can be changed upon request. • There is no charge for keeping records. • The records are generally deleted two months after the due date. Inquiries regarding Billing Record Details To request billing record details, please call the toll-free telephone number for 'Billing Inquiries' shown on your NTT West bill. NTT West only discloses billing record details to the following people: 1. The telephone subscriber 2. The user of the telephone line 3. The person who always pays the telephone bill for that line In order to keep subscribers information confidential, a letter of consent or a letter of attorney may be required when someone other than the actual telephone subscriber requests billing record details. Itemized Billing Service Please contact an NTT West service counter to apply for Itemized Billing Service. For domestic long-distance calls Data included on itemized bills For domestic long-distance calls and calls to mobile phones or PHSs etc., the date, number, duration etc. are listed on monthly itemized bills. The total dialing charges and number of local calls are also shown. Mailing procedure Itemized bills are sent together with telephone bills or account transfer notices. No postage or handling fees For local calls A service in which all billing details including local calls are shown on the itemized bill is also available. Handling fees for this service are calculated according to the number of pages used for NTT West calls, but there is no charge for postage. My Billing is a service for customers who use automatic bank account payment that provides a variety of call information via the Internet. Apply for this service and you will be notified of information such as account transfer notices, charges up to the previous day and itemized reports on the Web, instead of by post.
