1.TELEPHONE SERVICE APPLICATIONS AND CHANGES
Relocation
Please call 0120-064337 to apply for relocation after your new address and moving date have been decided.
Early Application Preferred
Telephone relocation installation is arranged by appointment. Apply early so that a convenient installation date can be arranged.
When you relocate, the date your line is reconnected must be within one month of disconnection. If more than one month passes and NTT West is unable to contact you, installation cannot take place and the line will be suspended according to the suspension procedures described in Temporary Suspension of Telephone Service.
Information Required
Current telephone number
Telephone subscriber's name
Current address and new installation address
Subscriber's address (if the subscriber's address and the installation address are different)
Requested disconnection and reconnection dates
Please reapply for Detailed Billing Records Service at an NTT East/West service counter in your new location.
Up to Seven Days Simultaneous Use
It is possible to have telephone service at both your old address and at your new address for up to seven days. Please request this service when applying for relocation.
This service is available if the old and new telephone numbers are different.
New Number Announcement Service
NTT West provides a recorded announcement service (in Japanese) on request to notify callers of your new number. This service is free of charge and lasts for about three months. Please request this service when applying for relocation.
Telephone Bill Payment after Relocation
Depending on the billing schedule, one or two bills for your old telephone number may be issued after relocation. Subscribers using automatic bank account payment are requested to pay in person if the bank account will be closed before the final payment can be made. Please use the NTT West bill with an electronic bar code.
